Sigiriya

Sigiriya, often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World”, is Sri Lanka’s most iconic ancient citadel. Rising nearly 200 meters above the plains, this UNESCO World Heritage Site features the monumental Lion’s Paw Entrance, vibrant frescoes of celestial maidens, and the historic Mirror Wall. At the summit, visitors find palace ruins and breathtaking panoramic views, while the surrounding water and boulder gardens showcase one of the world’s oldest landscaped complexes.
